PODCASTING YOU !

Podcasting is a new technology : I wrote about it few weeks ago (when I didn't dare to try).

Now I try to record my own podcast : and I succed as you can imagine ! That's why I'm very happy to talk about it !
It's a very funny way to present informations. And special devices are not required ! It's simple and easy to put on a blog.

Hello !

Unfortunately, I did't have so much time to write on my blog ... Too much things to do !!

I had to work with a my english class team on a wiki .... A WIKI is a website where anybody can change and improve the content of the articles, the best example is Wikipedia. In our Wiki we discuss about marketing and new technologies. This Wiki can be presented as an english class exercice (every member of the group post texts on it, and anybody can correct and improve them). But it's not only an exercice ! Indeed we discover that it's a real discussion place. And recently, we decided to open the access to anyone who want to modify anything. This is the WIKI's philosophy .

Astonishment is the key

A lot of philosophers believe that the best way to think is : ASTONISHMENT.
You have to be astonished when you look around you. Don't be blasé !

This philosophical advice can be used in the communication sciences. Indeed in Mr Souchier's opinion (one of my teachers) we have to be surprised of the world and take nothing for granted.

It's not because we have lived and grown with technologies, computers and the Internet, that those things become transparent and evident.
We always have to think about the consequences of those material objects. Virtual life doesn't exist !!

A new class

To learn a language we have to talk. Most people who want to be better in english or in an other language, travel around the world and most of them stay a long time in a foreign country.
That's why I think that a good idea for the English class is to talk together for a long time about anything : what we have done in others courses, what we have found funny on the web etc.
Secondly I think that to improve our level, we should learn by heart some vocabulary. I know that it's an old method but I think that it could work. We could do exercices about vocabulary lists.
Those two methods have to be used together : talk a lot and talk with appropriate words.
To repeat over and over the same words and the same ideas is a good way to learn faster. Like in the others courses : every teacher use the same idea and want us to be aware of certain technologies and utopian views about the web, for example the "web 2.0".

Not so simple

"RSS is a simple XML-based system that allows users to subscribe to their favorite websites." This definition comes from Wikipedia.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't think that it is so simple. Indeed despite the fact that the very majority of websites have RSS feeds, two month ago I didn't know what meant RSS. And I believe that a very majority of the internet users don't know as well.

In the fact, it is simple : simple to use and simple to understand. Indeed it is an other way to present informations and updates. And right now I can see that it is simple to use because I created my Netvibes pages and I put on it the class' RSS feeds.
